In this video, I took a break from surf fishing in Virginia to carry out a gross and disgusting catch and cook. I dredged the sand of the shallows and shore with a scoop and collected from the beach a bunch of sand fleas, which are like little mole crabs. I took them home and shallow fried them in olive oil over a campfire like you would any other seafood or food in general. I tried eating them and they tasted like creamy shrimp with the texture of fingernails. I did not like them.
