Gill Tickler #17 - Another Virginia Fishing Adventure

Description

The "gill tickler" is a series of chaotic episodes covering the fishing for the day and all the craziness that goes along with it.

In this video, I go on a saltwater fishing adventure in fall of 2025. I filmed and edited the video in a vlog style, showing all the shenanigans. My dad and I traveled from New York to Virginia to go surf fishing, pier fishing, and marina fishing in the Atlantic Ocean. It took us a day to drive to our duplex in Virginia, and then we went fishing for several days at various spots around Assateague island, and finally we spent a day driving home. We ate incredible food each night at Steamers restaurant. The first few days, the surf was too rough to fish, so we fished around piers mainly for smaller fish such as pigfish, Atlantic and spotted croaker, tautog, skate, and pufferfish. On the last two days, we finally hit the beach and caught a bluefish, a flounder, a whiting, and a shark. I was fishing the surf and piers using shrimp and cut mullet as bait, and I had all of my success using three-way dropper rigs. I tried to show all the setups, tips, techniques, and details regarding how I was fishing. What an adventure it was!
