Gill Tickler #15 - Epic Virginia Fishing Adventure

Description

The "gill tickler" is a series of chaotic episodes covering the fishing for the day and all the craziness that goes along with it.

In this video, I go on a saltwater fishing adventure in spring of 2025. I filmed and edited the video in a vlog style, showing all the shenanigans. My dad and I traveled from New York to Virginia to go surf fishing, pier fishing, and marina fishing in the Atlantic Ocean. It took us a day to drive to our hotel in Virginia, and then we went fishing for several days at various spots around Assateague island, and finally we spent a day driving home. We ate incredible meals each night at Steamers restaurant. On the first evening of fishing, I caught a flounder and two American eels. On the second day of fishing, I caught one whiting, one small stingray, and one big stingray. On the third day of fishing, I caught five tautog and one skate. On the fourth day of fishing, I caught two tautog, one croaker, one flounder, and one fairly big sheepshead. Heavy rain cut the last day of fishing short, but on the last day I was still able to catch one tautog, one croaker, and some blue crabs. I was fishing the surf, pier, and marina using shrimp, sand fleas, and mullet as bait, and I had all of my success using three-way dropper rigs. I tried to show all the setups, tips, techniques, and details regarding how I was fishing. What an adventure it was!
