Description
A Record A Call branded corded telephone with microcassette answering machine model 621.
The unit dates back to the 90s and seems like it would have been more of an economy offering at the time. It's good enough quality to still work over 2 decades later, including the belts, but is vey basic for the time and has a cheaper feel to it.
While the controls and interface leave a bit to be desired, it's overall a decent unit. The audio on the handset is satisfactory during a call and the recording quality and operation of the answering machine are also satisfactory.
The name was initially misleading to me. I thought the name implied that it recorded live phone calls, and the lack of buttons lead me to believe it was not an answering machine, rather just something for recording telephone conversations.
