Testing a Fedders 7,500 BTU window air conditioner model A2Q08F2B. This unit has a Rotorex compressor!
The machine was found out for the trash by Kevin last year. We tested it during the Winter when he first brought it over but we weren't able to get the best sample of the performance because it was cold out. We re-tested again in warm weather and found that it still works perfectly.
It needs substantial coil cleaning work, but the fan motor has already been serviced and is ready for operation. This is a particularly quiet machine; it has a slower fan motor than usual and will likely dehumidify very well as it cools.
