Description
This Olight Oclip 2 Ultra review looks at the rotating clip, 115-degree tilting head, four light modes, and whether the upgrade is worth carrying. I compare it with the Oclip Pro and show why the new aimable design matters for hands-free work.
The Oclip 2 Ultra is a compact clip-on light built for jobs where you need both hands free. Its clip rotates all the way around, the head tilts through 115 degrees, and magnets in the clip and base give you several ways to place the beam.
In this video I cover:
• The size and design changes compared with the Oclip Pro
• Floodlight, spotlight, red light, and UV light modes
• Up to 580 lumens and a rated 130-metre spotlight reach
• USB-C and Olight MCC magnetic charging
• IP66 protection and 2-metre impact resistance
• The optional 1,000 mAh charging dock
• Who should consider it and who may be better served by a headlamp or larger work light
For me, the rotating clip and tilting head are the real upgrade. They make it easier to direct the light while working on a motorcycle, camping, searching through gear, or handling jobs around the garage. The UV mode is more specialized, and the roughly $90-$95 Canadian price means the extra flexibility needs to match how you work.
