Description
Joe McNally takes the new NIKKOR Z 120-300mm f/2.8 TC VR S to the Moto One Motocross track to see how it handles pro-level sports action.
Bikes, dirt, and a lot of speed make for a tough test of autofocus and reach. The lens has a built-in 1.4x teleconverter that stretches it to 420mm, a faster autofocus system, and 6.5 stops of vR for handheld and panning shots, and it’s more than a pound lighter than the AF-S version. Joe shoots it in real conditions and shares what he’s seeing.
If you’ve shot sports with this lens, tell us how it’s worked for you in the comments.
