Many photographers struggle to reverse-engineer the lighting setups they see in magazines or on social media, limiting their ability to learn from the images around them.
Through years of experience I've learned to 'read' lighting in a photograph to help inspire and educate, and today I teach you my personal framework for decoding the language of light!
Together we will study a warm beauty portrait and analyze shadows, catchlights, and highlights.

1. Main Light: Profoto 3ft Octabox positioned slightly to the left.
2. Fill Light: Triflector with two silver panels placed under the chin and to the right.
3. Hair Light: 1x4ft Strip Softbox positioned directly overhead and a 1/4 CTO gel.
