Description

The lead locomotive New York Central (NYC) 1066 is an EMD SD70ACe diesel locomotive operated by Norfolk Southern. It was painted in a distinct, modern "lightning stripe" heritage livery to honor the historic NYC railroad. The active, heavy-haul engine is frequently spotted pulling freight and inter-modal trains across the eastern and mid-western rail network.
The 2nd Norfolk Southern locomotive 4868 is a former BNSF General Electric Dash 9-44CW locomotive. It operates as a leased unit under the reporting mark GECX, retaining its original BNSF identity and paint scheme, but assigned to haul freight on the Norfolk Southern network.
This was filmed coming out of the Gillitzin Tunnel last Saturday morning!
