Description
To change it up a little for 2021, I made a Mandalorian Beskar ingot using pattern welding techniques. As you know from the Mandalorian show, Mandalorian Beskar Steel is the super strong material from which the Mandalorian Armor is made. While such material may not exist in the real world, the pictures we see in the show look similar to pattern-welded steel. If you are new here, the techniques I am using to make the ingot, e.g. forge welding to create patterns, are the same as I use to make Viking-age inspired swords, knives and spears. The ingot of beskar is roughly 5in x 2.5in x 1.4in and is imprinted with the Galactic Empire crest/sigil by the hot stamp I am showing in the video. The back side features two grooves that I cut on a milling machine.
