The integrated graphics units by both Intel and AMD. They are appreciated by some, less by others, because they generally offer relatively low performance.
But is that still true? Today I want to get to the bottom of this with a quick test and a direct comparison between Intel's and AMD's integrated graphics. However, there are a few things to consider, as both manufacturers, Intel and AMD, offer more powerful and equally lower-end integrated graphics solutions. And depending on the CPU or APU, or platform, the graphics performance can vary significantly. Offering you a truly fair comparison is therefore rather difficult for me, and so today's topic shouldn't be generalized all too quickly. Nonetheless, I'll do my best with the resources available to me and focus on current mainstream Desktop platforms. Essentially I'll be using flagship models to conduct this comparison. For Intel, this would be the "Core Ultra 9 285K" CPU, and for AMD, the "Ryzen 9 9950X3D".
Which of the integrated graphics solutions ultimately delivers the better results? I'll not only be conducting tests on gaming performance, but also rendering and encoding capabilities, as well the power consumption.
