I Didn't Want to Show Up Today

This morning, I almost didn't go live.
My mind kept telling me the same thing many of us tell ourselves:
"You don't have time."
Honestly...
It felt true.
My calendar was full.
My to-do list was long.
I even talked with my husband about skipping today's Dionne Daily.
But I've learned something over the past several days of this creative challenge.
The days I feel like I don't have time to create...
are usually the days I need it the most.
So I showed up anyway.
As I painted a loose watercolor floral using Painterly Gouache and acrylic inks, I talked about resistance, priorities, and why just 10–15 intentional minutes of creativity changes the rest of my day.
When I create...
✨ I think more clearly.
✨ I become a better coach.
✨ I communicate with more patience.
✨ I lead with more intention.
✨ I enjoy my day instead of just surviving it.
Creativity doesn't take me away from my responsibilities.
It helps me show up better for them.
If you've been telling yourself you don't have time to create, I hope today's conversation encourages you to give yourself permission to begin anyway.
Because sometimes the smallest investment in yourself creates the biggest shift in everything else.
💙 I'd love to know...
What's one thing you've been putting off because you "don't have time"?
