We traveled to Kilinochchi, Sri Lanka to explore the reality of landmines left behind after the civil war. we visit a former conflict area where a professional demining team from Dash Mine Clearance is actively working to make the land safe again. They showed us how the demining process works, the dangers involved, and the careful steps taken to detect and remove landmines. Even 17 years after the war, landmines still remain hidden underground, posing a serious risk to people and communities. This experience helped us understand the importance of demining and how it supports rebuilding lives.
