The Talk
Since its discovery in 2014, the #keeladi excavations have become one of India's most contested digs—hailed by some as proof of an urban civilisation in South India and dismissed by others as political mythmaking. This talk will detail how the Keeladi excavations offer an insight into the second urbanisation phase of South India while also becoming a cultural symbol and a political tool in Tamil Nadu.
