Avengers No Road Home #8 is most of the way through this 10 issue maxi-series and the tension has been ratcheted up. The Immortal Hulk broke a shard of Nyx's soul, claiming her power and the knowledge of where the final piece is located. Nyx also claimed a shard for herself, despite the loss of her children Hypnos, Apate and Dolos. That leaves only her and Oyzis, goddess of Misery, to finish their mission. Leaving the Avengers to her youngest child, Nyx takes off for Euphoria, where she runs into Hawkeye, Rocket Raccoon and Hulk. Back inside Shadizar, Misery fees on the despair of the fallen Avengers, and none among them have more than Hercules. Can the Olympian rise up and defeat the darkness within them all? Is Hulk strong enough to battle the goddess of darkness?
