Dc Comics typically hosts a Meet The Publishers panel every year at WonderCon and this year is no exception. In past years we heard about massive books like Doomsday Clock and Dark Night Metal, but this year things were much more focused on events that were only a few weeks away.

Year of the Villain was a major topic for Jim Lee and Dan DiDio, since the debut issue will be coming out on May 1st, and the idea will be spreading through major titles like Justice League, Batman, and of course anything Brian Michael Bendis is writing. This is because Event Leviathan, and the secret organization behind it, will be playing a big role in the event. It will also give us City Of Bane, which Tom King says will dominate the last quarter of his Batman run.

Lee and DiDio also showed off some new artwork from Greg Capullo for Batman The Last Knight On Earth which arrives in May on DC's Black Label imprint. However, Scott Snyder was already thinking about 2021. In his spotlight panel there was discussion of the Doom Wars event that will take place in Justice League, as well as a possible sequel to Dark Nights Metal (Dark Nights Metal 2?). Regardless, Snyder has more than enough ideas to keep his corner of the DC universe interesting years into the future.
