Here’s a quick look at how I create my crochet faux locs! 💚 I attach the crochet loc to one section of my hair, braid it down about 2 inches, then twist the rest of the way to create the foundation. Next, I crochet in Outre Twisted Up X-Pression Springy Afro Twist 3X (24”) near the root. I split each piece of the Springy Afro Twist hair in half before wrapping because you only need a thin amount to cover the braid. Using less hair helps create a more natural-looking loc without adding unnecessary bulk. I leave one side short and the other long, then use the longer piece to wrap all the way down, adding another thin piece if needed depending on the length of my natural hair.
