Day 2 and 3 of our Alaska cruise aboard the Norwegian Bliss take us from a full day at sea to our very first port: Sitka, Alaska.
Day 2 is all about slowing down and exploring the ship. We wander through different decks, check out a few of the restaurants, and settle into that easy rhythm you only get on a sea day. No schedule. No rush. Just ocean views and good food.
On Day 3, the Bliss docks at the Sitka Sound Cruise Terminal — about 15 minutes from town — so we hop on the shuttle and head into downtown Sitka. It’s our first port of the trip, and we spend the afternoon walking around, taking in the views, and riding the Pedal Pub with Russell and Michelle. Definitely a fun way to see the town.
