This program chronicles the last leg of the Final Spike Tour in July, as "The Empress" traveled from Davenport Iowa back to CPKC headquarters in Calgary Alberta. On July 1st, #2816 left Davenport running north along the Mississippi River to Minneapolis. Then on the 3rd, the train continued north to Thief River Falls Minnesota, and the following day ran to Winnipeg. After a stop in Winnipeg, we'll rejoin #2816 in Brandon Manitoba on July 8th for the last three days across the Canadian Prairies. On the way back to Calgary the train made overnight stops in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan and Dunmore Alberta. This segment features a cab ride westbound out of Swift Current Saskatchewan on July 9th.
