Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico rallied supporters alongside Democratic Governor candidate Gina Hinojosa at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in downtown Dallas on Thursday. Talarico is running against Republican Ken Paxton for the U.S. Senate seat.
Talarico said billionaire donors and super PACs are spending more than $200 million to defeat him. He called his campaign "people-powered" and said it has set grassroots fundraising records without taking money from corporate PACs.
