Day 1 of our 7‑day Alaska cruise begins in classic Pacific Northwest fashion — with a quiet morning ferry ride across the Puget Sound. We start in Bremerton, board the state ferry, and make our way toward Seattle with that mix of nerves and excitement that only a big trip brings.
From there, we drive to the cruise terminal, check in, and step aboard the Norwegian Bliss — our home for the week as we head northbound for Alaska. After settling into our stateroom, we meet up with Russell and Michelle (Scott’s sister and brother‑in‑law) and kick off the trip the best way possible: dinner at Teppanyaki to celebrate both Michelle’s birthday and mine.
The night wraps with a glowing sunset off the back of the ship and some great onboard entertainment as we settle into cruise mode.
