In Absolute Green Arrow #2, the story shifts to Dinah Lance — Black Canary — as she hunts the Green Arrow killer on behalf of billionaire Hector Hammond. Oliver Queen washed ashore months ago, confirmed gone, yet someone wearing the Green Arrow identity is hunting Gotham's wealthy with poisoned arrows. Dinah's investigation runs through Oliver's former proteges — Roy Harper, Mia Dearden, and Tom Holloway — and leads her straight to Connor Hawke, Oliver's estranged son, the one person she swore to protect. What happens next is one of the most shocking single-issue gut-punches the Absolute Universe has delivered, as Green Arrow goes full Michael Myers and the body count keeps climbing.
The issue ends with major teases — the apparent arrival of Count Vertigo in the Absolute Universe, and Roy Harper digging up Oliver Queen's grave on the final page. With just a few issues left in this limited series, the answers are about to come rapid-fire.
