দক্ষিণ দিনাজপুর জেলার কুশমন্ডি ব্লকের মালিগাঁও গ্রামের বাসিন্দা সজনী মণ্ডল একজন সাধারণ কৃষক পরিবারের গৃহবধূ। সংসারের আর্থিক সংকট, শারীরিক অসুস্থতা এবং নানা প্রতিকূলতার মধ্যেও তিনি হাল ছাড়েননি।
নিজের জীবিকার পথ তৈরি করতে তিনি কার্পেট তৈরির কাজ শেখেন এবং সেই দক্ষতাকেই একটি সফল উদ্যোগে পরিণত করেন। আজ তিনি শুধু নিজে স্বনির্ভর নন, বরং নিজের উদ্যোগে কার্পেট তৈরির প্রশিক্ষণ দিয়ে প্রায় ৪০–৫০ জন মহিলার কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ তৈরি করেছেন।
সজনী মণ্ডলের এই উদ্যোগ বহু নারীর জীবনে অর্থনৈতিক স্বাধীনতা, আত্মবিশ্বাস এবং নতুন সম্ভাবনার দরজা খুলে দিয়েছে। এই তথ্যচিত্রে উঠে এসেছে তাঁর সংগ্রাম, সাহস, অধ্যবসায় এবং নারীর ক্ষমতায়নের এক বাস্তব অনুপ্রেরণার গল্প।
Sajani Mondal, a resident of Maligaon village in Kushmandi block, Dakshin Dinajpur district, comes from a farming family. Despite financial hardship, health challenges, and many obstacles, she remained determined to build a better future.
She learned the craft of carpet weaving and transformed that skill into a successful livelihood. Today, she is not only financially independent but has also trained around 40–50 women, creating employment opportunities and helping them become more self-reliant.
This documentary tells the inspiring story of Sajani Mondal's courage, perseverance, and commitment to empowering women through skill development and entrepreneurship. Her journey shows how determination can turn adversity into opportunity.
