This detailed factory documentary follows the complete manufacturing process—from sheet-metal stamping and body-in-white production to final assembly, high-voltage battery integration, vehicle marriage, Mercedes star installation and final quality inspection.

Mercedes-Benz announced the start of production of the new electric C-Class in Kecskemét on July 13, 2026. It is the first battery-electric Mercedes-Benz core model manufactured at this plant.

The approximately €1 billion expansion includes new body and final assembly halls, a second press shop, a new paint shop and an on-site battery assembly facility. Digital production systems include the MO360 production ecosystem, AI-supported quality applications and a complete Digital Factory Twin created in NVIDIA Omniverse.

• The production site has expanded from 200 to 440 hectares. • Body parts and high-voltage drive batteries are produced directly on site. • The plant has 42.3 MWp of photovoltaic capacity. • Solar power covers approximately 25% of its annual energy demand. • The expanded site is now Hungary’s largest automotive production plant.
