Mercedes-Benz has started large-scale production of its new electric axial-flux motor at the Berlin-Marienfelde plant in Germany.
This video shows the oddly satisfying production process of the high-performance axial-flux electric motor that will be used in future Mercedes-AMG electric vehicles. The new motor technology is compact, lightweight and designed for high power density, making it an important part of Mercedes-AMG’s next generation of electric performance cars.
The axial-flux motor will make its debut in the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé.
