Description
Why did God create humanity—and what does He actually want us to do?
Join us for the beginning of a brand-new series with Al Fadi as we explore The Will of God for Humanity, beginning where the story of humanity itself begins: the book of Genesis.
Genesis 1 opens with one of the most recognizable declarations in Scripture: “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
God creates the world and everything necessary to sustain life. Then, on the sixth day, He creates humanity.
But God doesn't simply create mankind without a purpose.
In Genesis 1:28, God blesses humanity and gives a mandate: “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it.”
What does that command reveal about God's original intention for us?
Al Fadi examines humanity's calling to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and exercise stewardship over God's creation. This wasn't merely a suggestion—it reveals something fundamental about humanity's purpose from the very beginning.
We then turn to Genesis 2:5–8, where Scripture gives us a closer look at the creation of Adam. God forms man from the dust of the ground and then breathes into him the breath of life.
Al Fadi explores the incredible picture contained within this passage: humanity has both an earthly connection and a heavenly connection to God.
We were formed from the earth, yet our life ultimately comes from God.
In this episode, we discuss God's original purpose for humanity, the mandate of Genesis 1:28, why mankind was created after the rest of creation, Adam's formation from the dust, God's breath of life, humanity's responsibility to steward creation, and what Genesis teaches us about God's will for our lives.
And this is only the beginning.
Next week, we'll continue into the Garden of Eden and examine why God placed humanity there—and what Eden reveals about His original intention for mankind.
