Description
Why did God remove Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden—and what did humanity lose when sin entered the world?
Join Al Fadi for Episode 2 of The Will of God for Humanity as we continue exploring the book of Genesis and uncovering God's original purpose for mankind.
In our previous episode, we examined Genesis 1 and 2, where God created humanity, placed Adam in the Garden of Eden, and commanded mankind to be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth.
But where was the Garden of Eden actually located?
While some scholars associate Eden with the region of modern-day Iraq, Al Fadi offers a different interpretation. He suggests that Eden may have been located closer to the biblical Promised Land and explores the significance of the garden's eastern entrance.
According to Al Fadi, there is a fascinating connection between the Garden of Eden, the Tabernacle, and the Temple.
When Adam and Eve were expelled from Eden, cherubim guarded the way to the Tree of Life on the eastern side of the garden. Later, the Tabernacle and Temple incorporated an eastern entrance through which worshipers approached God's presence.
Could this connection reveal something deeper about sin, repentance, sacrifice, and restoration?
Al Fadi explains how the biblical imagery of moving toward God's presence reflects humanity's need for forgiveness and reconciliation.
We also revisit God's original command to Adam.
The Garden of Eden was not simply a place for Adam and Eve to live. Al Fadi presents the garden as the beginning of God's greater plan—a place humanity was intended to cultivate, expand, and ultimately extend throughout the earth.
But something went terribly wrong.
Satan deceived Eve, and Adam and Eve disobeyed God's command by eating from the forbidden tree. Their disobedience introduced sin and separation from God, disrupting the original purpose for which humanity was created.
In this episode, we explore:
- Where the Garden of Eden may have been located
- The significance of Eden's eastern entrance
- The connection between Eden, the Tabernacle, and the Temple
- God's original purpose for Adam and Eve
- Why humanity was commanded to cultivate and fill the earth
- Satan's deception and the forbidden tree
- The spiritual consequences of Adam and Eve's disobedience
- How sin disrupted God's original design for humanity
God created humanity to flourish, multiply, and fill the earth—but the fall changed the course of human history.
What does this mean for God's ultimate plan, and how does the story continue?
Join us next week as Al Fadi takes us into Genesis 11 and the Tower of Babel, where humanity's rebellion takes another dramatic turn.
