One of my favorite things about decorating with thrifted and vintage finds is creating a home that feels collected over time rather than purchased all at once. Whether it's vintage artwork, decorative accessories, unique ceramics, or unexpected pieces that can be repurposed, secondhand shopping is a great way to add character, warmth, texture, and history to your space.
**A few tips to keep in mind when thrifting and shopping estate sales:**

- Look beyond an item's original purpose. Vintage pieces can often be repurposed in beautiful and practical ways.
- Pay attention to materials, craftsmanship, condition, and scale rather than focusing only on brand names.
- Shop with your existing home decor in mind, but stay open to unexpected finds.
- At estate sales, ask about discount schedules and whether prices will be reduced on later sale days.
- Remember that styling is just as important as the find itself. Mixing vintage and modern decor can make a room feel layered and personal.
