Towards December 17th, 2025, a significant amount of rain fell in the northwestern Negev. The rain reached the drainage basins of Wadi Lavan and Wadi Nitzana. While Wadi Lavan was already flowing near the border with Egypt that morning, the flow on Wadi Nitzana only reached the area in the afternoon.
Join me in a special video as I follow the leading surge of the flood of Wadi Nitzana along two kilometers. We’ll watch the advancing flow until its exciting meeting with the already‑flowing Wadi Lavan. It’s a unique and thrilling experience in a desert thirsty for water.
