Description
Vindicator or Steel & Sons? Both exotic rifles drop from the Red Moon bounties, and the event ends on November 3rd. I ran both with the exact same crit Aces & Eights build, in the same content, and tested the damage three ways: the shooting range, my damage log in a real fight, and the Red Moon event. (Heads-up: I don't always go for the amp damage with Vindicator, so take the damage log for what it is.)
Where they drop:
• Vindicator – the Mocker bounty (Constitution Hall). Also from the Black Tusk Kill Squad in Retaliation.
• Steel & Sons – the Bound bounty (Downtown East). Also from the Broken Rain incursion (3rd and 4th boss + the final chest).
Bounties drop from the Moon Cultists (higher chance on higher difficulty). Every player gets their own 20% roll on the exotic, so share your bounties in a group.
Biggest hits: 10.78M with Vindicator, 7.8M with Steel & Sons (solo).
