This video is more of an inspiration booster than a step-by-step how-to project. Every pool setup is different, and the area around a pool can vary greatly with different terrain, décor, decking, steps, and layouts. What you see in this video was a spur-of-the-moment idea that worked well for my pool area.
I hope this project sparks your creativity and gives you a few ideas for protecting and organizing your pool hoses. Keeping hoses elevated, neat, and out of the way can help prevent unnecessary wear and may help them last longer.
After upgrading my pool pump and skimmer, I got tired of looking at the unsightly pool hoses lying on the ground. I decided to build a couple of simple wooden supports to keep the hoses raised, organized, and looking much better around the pool.
This was an easy and inexpensive project. For the build, I used:
• One treated 1x6x8 fence board• One 3.75” x 3.75” x 6.5’ round fence post• 1 5/8” deck screws• Titebond waterproof glue• Valspar stain
I already had the screws, glue, and stain left over from other projects, so the only materials I needed to purchase were the fence board and round post.
