RV Lithium Battery Upgrade, JSDSolar 400ah LifePO4 Lithium Battery

The Furrminator (Jeff Furr) Review 1 years ago

Description

One of our favorite places to camp is in the GSMNP. These are primitive campsites and after multiple trips in our new camper with the 12 volt refrigerator, the 12 volt deep cycle batteries were ruined. I decided to invest in a lithium battery. Knowing very little about them, other than the fact that it will provide power for a longer period of time and that you can get 75% or more out of the battery before needing a charge compared to 50% or less with the deep cycle batteries.
No claims by me to be knowledgeable about lithium batteries. I chose this battery based on price, reviews and Amp Hours. I liked what I saw with the jsdsolar battery, the reviews were good, and at 400ah, I should be able to go for a much longer period of time between charges. At the time of purchase, this 400ah battery was just over $900. I really like the app that allows you to see the rate of charge and temperature. I have put some time into trying to learn the battery. I have received some great information from people about lithium batteries and also some not so good information. I’m still learning and I welcome and appreciate any constructive criticism. My biggest challenge now is the controller, it is charging the battery as I was told it would, however, I want to purchase one that is specific to this battery as I feel that I will get much more out of my battery with the proper controller.
