I am in the middle of setting up my new batteries and replacing the Westinghouse generator that burnt up. I had my camera out to record the progress on the new batteries, so I recorded a little clip.
The generator that I ended up buying is the WEN DF452iX. It is a dual fuel inverter generator that has a max output of around 4500 watts. I would love to have a more robust generator that would last a lifetime but the finding and the setup was taking more time and energy that I am able to dedicate to it right now. If only the Westinghouse would have lasted another six months even.
My initial impression of this WEN is that it is very similar in build and quality to the Westinghouse that it replaced. There are a few indicators that it might be a little more robust but there are other design flaws that really bother me. It fired right up on propane and seemed to deliver the power it claimed to have.
