Description
Arianna Powell is a Los Angeles–based live and session guitarist, songwriter and educator. She plays guitar for Olivia Rodrigo and has worked with Halsey, Dua Lipa, the Black Eyed Peas and many others. Arianna’s style ranges from folk and Americana through jazz and R&B to rock and indie. Her approach is creative and modern: she blends melody, chords and rhythm into fresh textures and memorable parts. Her Tonalic content features electric and acoustic guitars, including rubber-bridge acoustics and baritone models: tasteful, song-serving parts that sit right in a modern production.
In this video, Arianna talks about her Gibson LG-2 acoustic guitar, which she first received for an acoustic session with Halsey featuring songs from her album Manic. She discusses its open, balanced tone, comfortable smaller body, and how well it translates in studio recordings, even when plugged directly into a DI. A versatile instrument, it’s ideal for singer-songwriter sessions, fingerpicking, and strumming.
