Description
Arianna Powell is a Los Angeles–based live and session guitarist, songwriter and educator. She plays guitar for Olivia Rodrigo and has worked with Halsey, Dua Lipa, the Black Eyed Peas and many others. Arianna’s style ranges from folk and Americana through jazz and R&B to rock and indie. Her approach is creative and modern: she blends melody, chords and rhythm into fresh textures and memorable parts. Her Tonalic content features electric and acoustic guitars, including rubber-bridge acoustics and baritone models: tasteful, song-serving parts that sit right in a modern production.
In this video, Arianna talks about her Gibson ES-339, the guitar that has remained her favorite ever since she discovered it at Pittsburgh Guitars. She describes its warm, deep tone, comfortable feel, and versatility, and how it compares to its bigger sibling, the ES-335. It’s her go-to instrument for songwriting, solo arrangements, and playing at home, and one she never plans to part with.
