There’s something about driving on ice that just hits different.
We headed up to Stoco Lake in Canada to link up with the crew from FDF, who plow an insanely fun track right into the frozen lake every winter. It’s fast, technical, and honestly one of the most enjoyable places you can drive a car.
For this trip I brought my party-spec E36 M3 — S50 power, a dialed chassis, and a car that’s already had a pretty wild life. Throw some Accelera X-Grip studded tires on it, put it on a frozen lake, and suddenly it becomes the perfect ice drifting machine.
We made the trip with some great friends: Grant Andersen, Josiah from FDF, and my Le Mans teammates Chip and Christian Van Vurst. No pressure, no competition, just great driving, good people, and a ton of laps trying to link this awesome lake course together.
This video is really about the fun of driving. No drama, no crazy storyline, just cars being driven the way they’re meant to be driven.
