You guys probably remember this little hatchback from older videos with the 330i setup. It was already a super fun car, especially since we never even got the E46 Compact here in the US, but we kept looking at it thinking… this chassis deserves something crazier. So that’s exactly what happened.

The idea behind this build was actually pretty simple: use the pile of good parts we already have sitting around the shop and turn them into something awesome instead of letting them collect dust forever. Race shops end up with so many quality parts from old programs, testing, spare setups, and random ideas, and I got fired up on the idea of combining all that stuff into one really fun project car. I need to stop being some crazy drift racoon with parts... This is how we turn water into wine lol.

So in this episode we go through the whole build process:

M3 subframe conversion with OS Giken Diff
Random 2.3L Ecoboost engine and swap parts from an abandoned project
Panic wire harness and Link Neo 4 ECU + DI controller
DriftHQ bushings, shifter, brake lines, couplers, seat mounts, belts, and a ton more
Fabrication, wiring, setup work, and all the little details that bring a car to life.

Honestly, this is one of my favorite kinds of builds. A giant plan, but no overthinking, just quality parts, theories tested, and the excitement of building something unique that probably shouldn’t exist… but somehow totally works.

This thing already feels like an absolute weapon, and we’re just getting started.
