Were there more than 5 Wizards on Middle-Earth? The Answer seems obvious... it should be 'no', right? Well, when it comes to the Order of the Istari, J.R.R. Tolkien made some funny additions to the lore in his Silmarillion and his private letters. In fact, at one point, he clarified exactly who Gandalf, Saruman, Radagast, Pallando, and Alatar are... and he said something pretty shocking. Today, we're going to investigate Tolkien's works, and find out if there were, in fact, more than 5 elderly wizards fighting against Sauron in the Second and Third Ages of Middle-Earth.
