The PRO Secret Wacky Rig Swimming Technique Most Anglers NEVER Heard of

Description

Almost everyone thinks of a wacky rig or Neko rig as a slow finesse bait that falls or gets worked along the bottom, but I’ve been catching bass by doing almost the exact opposite — swimming a wacky rig through the water column. In this video I break down the exact swimming wacky rig setup I’ve been using for smallmouth, spotted bass and largemouth, including the short baitfish-style worms, 1/16 oz tungsten nail weight, O-ring placement, Trokar drop-shot hook orientation, chartreuse target trick, long spinning rod, braid and light fluorocarbon leader. The key is keeping the bait suspended and shaking it back to the boat almost like a finesse swim jig or minnow, with quick reel bursts to trigger followers. It’s especially effective on clear, pressured fisheries and suspended bass that will follow a minnow, Sakamata or jerkbait but refuse to commit. I’ll show you how to rig it, how to swim it, where to fish it around points, docks, bluff walls and other vertical cover, and why this has become one of my favorite power-finesse wacky rig techniques for bass fishing.
