The Paolini Pocket Rule is such a handy tool to have in your shop

Woodpeckers Short Yesterday

Description

These pocket rules do more than measure — they hold position, mark repeats, and stand upright when you're setting router bits or saw heights.

The sliding stop locks anywhere along the blade for repetitive layout on multiple boards. Pair it with the notch at the end and you've got an instant marking gauge. When you need both hands free to dial in blade height, pull the stop off and insert it into the cut-out — now the rule stands vertical while you match the easy-to-read laser-engraved scale on the end.

Two scales per side, aligned so you flip from 1/16" to 1/32" without hunting. Available in anodized aluminum with high-contrast white engraving on red, or thinner stainless steel — both milled to exactly 1" wide. Choose inch, metric, or combo graduations in 6", 8", or 12" lengths.

Designed with North Carolina furniture builder Greg Paolini and machined in Strongsville, Ohio.
