After a 25 year nap my 1970's Caterpillar D3 LGP bulldozer isn't waking up as easily as I want it to! The old dozer won't stay running the moment I start driving the machine around the front lot at the shop. I believe it's long NAP has created a pretty bad problem in the Fuel System!
Today's plan is to dive into WHATEVER it will take to get this machine to stay running when it's in tracking around! Staying running is pretty important if we want to USE this dozer at some point soon!
Everything is pointing back to the Fuel tank as the MAIN issue, so follow along as cleaning the tank snowballs into a much larger project, as they tend to with the old junk I drag back to Salvage Workshop! I'm confident that we'll get it figured out, we'll just see what it will take to get there!

This is my 1970's Caterpillar D3 LGP Bulldozer with a 6 way blade and wide tracks. It's powered by a Caterpillar 3204 diesel engine, and the machine is in fairly good shape considering it's lack of care over the last decade and a half, but it does have some major issues!
