"Alester" is ALMOST ready for the proving grounds! We're going to replace the pins & bushings on the blade, then haul it outta here!
The first project with "Alester" is to SALVAGE a pond that washed out at the farm! The plan is to dig the pond deeper to collect more water and build a strong dam that will last a lifetime here at the farm! The cows need water, and this will be a HUGE improvement in managing the cattle on this property!
This is the perfect testing ground for the old dozer, and I'm sure we'll find some more problems along the way, but that's why we're here!

This is my 1970's Caterpillar D3 LGP Bulldozer named "Alester"... It has a 6 way blade, wide tracks, and is powered by a Caterpillar 3204 diesel engine. The machine is in fairly good shape considering it's lack of care over the last decade and a half, but it does have some major issues that we're working through one step at a time!
