Descripción

Since DAY 1 with this little Cat Dozer, I haven't been able to use the transmission properly, and today is FINALLY the day to correct that! We'll be FULLY rebuilding the transmission on "Alester" with the help of parts from @CostexTractorParts!

Now that the engine is prepped and parts have arrived, it's time to get the transmission put back together and see how well this old dozer runs with ALL of it's gears!

Finding parts for old machines can be difficult, but working with @CostexTractorParts made that process MUCH easier that I am used to! They had everything I needed to get my old Caterpillar D3 LGP put back together and moving again!

If you are in the need for quality aftermarket parts for your heavy equipment project, don't hesitate to reach out to Costex Tractor Parts for what you need! The have a HUGE selection of products, and are happy to help you find what you're looking for! https://www.costex.com/ctp-products/

This is my 1970's Caterpillar D3 LGP Bulldozer named "Alester"... It has a 6 way blade, wide tracks, and is powered by a Caterpillar 3204 diesel engine. The machine is in fairly good shape considering it's lack of care over the last decade and a half, but it does have some major issues that we're working through one step at a time!
