Description
Every year, when spooky season rolls around, there are certain movies, TV shows, and Halloween specials I HAVE to revisit or else it just doesn't feel like Halloween. For me, nothing beats digging through my movie shelves and pulling out some good Halloweeny physical media like we used to do at video rental stores back in the day.
In this episode of Halloween Madness, I'm going through a GINORMOUS selection of my favorite Halloween physical media, including horror movies, family-friendly Halloween classics, TV shows and specials, Halloween documentaries, spooky compilations, and plenty of weird deep cuts. We're talking VHS tapes, DVDs, Blu-rays, and 4K releases, each packed with lots of autumnal atmosphere.
Of course we've got the classics like Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, Halloween, Trick 'r Treat, Night of the Demons, and Goosebumps: The Haunted Mask, alongside some more obscure Halloween favorites of mine like When Good Ghouls Go Bad, Halloween: The Happy Haunting of America, Hollow Gate, Hack-o-Lantern, and releases from @witchingseasonfilms.
There's a little something here for all us Halloween fans, and to help out I have separated the recs into categories depending on what you're in the mood for: family friendly, adult (but also kid friendly), and movies for adults. This isn't my entire Halloween collection, but it's a big selection of the movies and spooky media I find myself reaching for every spooky season.
So dust off those VCRs, creeps! Let's celebrate the best time of the year with some Halloween physical media! 🎃

► ABOUT
Hi creeps! My name is Cameron Chaney. I’m a horror author (check out my books above!) and the host of Library Macabre, a horror-focused BookTube channel dedicated to horror book reviews, vintage horror paperbacks, and all things spooky. On this channel, I talk about everything from classic and retro horror books (including 70s, 80s, and 90s horror paperbacks) to modern horror, indie horror, and mainstream horror releases. If you love creepy reads, obscure horror novels, and nostalgic book content, you’re in the right place.
Not strictly a horror fan? No worries! I also feature other genres, book hauls, and nostalgic reads from time to time. I’m a huge fan of book collecting, especially rare and out-of-print horror paperbacks. You’ll also find the occasional horror movie review with my Cult Movie Macabre series, Halloween content, book and movie unboxings, and anything else that fits those cozy, eerie vibes. If it’s spooky, nostalgic, or bookish… I’m here for it. :-)
