A spiny ladybug larva gets caught on my Cape Sundew, and the leaf slowly begins to roll around it. This detailed extreme macro footage shows the strange shape, movement and armour-like body of the larva as it struggles against the sticky Drosera leaf.
The video includes several timelapses of the full sundew leaf roll, showing the slow curling response in detail. There is also a wider timelapse showing how the whole plant reacts to the insect, not just the single leaf.
