Description
A group of harlequin ladybirds end up on my Cape Sundew, and each one handles the sticky Drosera tentacles differently.
Some manage to pull free from the carnivorous plant and keep moving, while others get caught in the glue-like droplets as the sundew slowly reacts. I film the encounters in 4K macro, showing the ladybirds, the sticky tentacles and the small details that decide whether they escape or get trapped.
By the end, one ladybird is caught worse than the others, so I carefully intervene and set it free. During the video, I also look back at other ladybird encounters, including full sundew leaf folds and ladybirds caught in Venus flytraps.
