SIKS brings a mischievous, late-night energy to Smash The House with his latest release, ‘Red Lights’, arriving October 30th! Drawing on the swagger of hip-hop and the unruly spirit of rave culture, the track combines streetwise vocal delivery with high-impact electronic production, creating a riotous collision of attitude, bass and club-ready rhythms.
“Take me to the red lights” rings out across the opening, as the vocal sets the scene with talk of sexy girls, after-dark adventures and a night where turning back simply isn't on the agenda. There's a cheeky, unapologetic confidence to the delivery, its rudeboy character lending the production a playful sense of trouble from the outset. Around it, SIKS introduces a series of wiry, contorted melodies that twist and distort through the arrangement before multiplying into a live wire of electronic movement, alongside increasingly animated bass patterns.
When the drop arrives, ‘Red Lights’ kicks into a different gear, unleashing a colossal bassline that hits with the force of a wrecking ball, accompanied by sharp-edged synth and a punchy rhythm. The track's influences remain firmly in the picture, with chopped vocal spits punctuating the production and giving its more explosive moments an additional layer of personality.
Unashamedly rowdy and designed for the more mischievous hours of the night, ‘Red Lights’ finds SIKS channelling a distinctly streetwise character into an electrifying dancefloor setting. Make sure you get your hands on the release this October!
