Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said that the RTC needs to be expanded and strengthened on the lines of the services provided by Indian Railways.
At RTC Kalabhavan in Bagh Lingampally, Hyderabad, the minister handed over a cheque of ₹90.85 lakh to the family members of late Narsampet Depot driver Shankar Goud. He described RTC as the "heartbeat of the poor" and urged employees to ensure that passenger services continue without disruption.
Minister Ponnam also assured that the government's promise regarding the merger of RTC employees' services would be implemented. He emphasized the importance of improving public transport services and supporting RTC workers.
