This is a reupload of an extremely rare Emergency Override System test, AKA the “Local Access Alert” uploaded by a user simply named “Brendan”/Thehouseofmedia who is deleting almost all their videos soon.
This originated from an INSIGHT digital cable provider in Bloomington, Indiana and aired at some point in 2005. It appears to use a Video Data Systems character generator, and it reminds me somewhat of the EOS screen I saw in 2008. The scrolling text on the bottom reads “INSIGHT • We Care About Your Safety”
While I usually prefer to upload my own content, this type of alert/test screen is so rare that I decided to crop and resize it to its original aspect ratio to the best of my ability. I didn’t record this and nothing can be done about the VHS tape damage seen throughout. If “Brendan” decides to digitize his tape and reupload it himself, I will happily link to it here and unlist this. Until then, enjoy!
