Description
So, we got me uploading new EAS captures again before GTA VI, yes?
While I am still gearing toward a direct capture format for uploads in the future, there may be rare instances where camera-recorded activations are still uploaded. I decided to put this up because I had a head start due to my bedroom’s X1 box having a delay in receiving the alert as where my living room’s box got it about 10-15 seconds prior. Therefore, I was able to capture the entire thing including a brief glitch where the SAME bursts are restarted.
I was watching “Garfield and Friends” on the YouTube app as background noise while working on a task on my newer TV, so my old Sylvania TV is seen here. The slow YouTube app on Xfinity X1 is probably what delayed the EAS, but good for me in this case! There was some luck and quickness involved too, as I was just leaving my room to get a snack when I heard the SAME bursts starting from outside of the hallway.
For those wondering about why a lot of my old EAS videos went private, there are a few different reasons, but one is that I was quite dissatisfied with the audiovisual presentation of many of the old ones in retrospect. A portion of them were separately recorded onto other media sources, so in the future I’d like to reupload what I can, some possibly returning in audio only. My life outside of YouTube is kinda complicated which is partly why it’s been so long in between uploads. Not everything is the public’s business, of course, but that is a brief note for those who were curious. Thank you for your support, patience, and viewership in the meantime. I sincerely hope to make it up to those who have enjoyed my EAS captures over the years when certain aspects of personal life improve. Also, when my EAS uploads get back into gear more often, they will not be numbered anymore like they used to, as they’ll likely be archived out of chronological order.
A few extra notes: this originated from a DASDEC-II unit, if I’m not mistaken, and the test itself was relayed from WQLT-FM (Q-107 in Florence, AL). The spoken audio message has been one of the same couple of audio bits reused for RMTs in Alabama since 2012 at the latest.
